URL//Another great day of fishing!! All customers reported catching keeper Walleye’s and many thrown back and a couple groups getting their limits. We also have a house off of JR’s Corner fished by Jim Schindler from MPLS that caught quite a few nice Walleye’s. The bait from Trappers in Shooks must be doing the trick. All my customers informed me that lively fatheads, fished a couple inches from the bottom and constant jigging were key to the Walleye frenzy going on here on Big Upper Red Lake. URL//The Walleye bite is very steady throughout the day. Ranging from 16″-28″ incher (caught by Chris Lampert). Also a 42″ Northern Pike was caught and another 32″, all were caught from noon-4pm. Their is a solid 17″ of ice and very little snow, making it easy for all to come out and enjoy some ice fishing. I hope everyone had a great Christmas and I hope to see u out on the lake. There is a good 14″of ice 200 yards out. Use small vehicles as of yet. No, or very little snow on big Upper Red Lake. Ice cleats recommended. Be safe.
